Yemen’s Military Media released footage from a wide-scale military operation in al-Jawf, showing their advance through the province, the targeting of enemy concentrations, and the capture of Saudi-backed forces.
The Yemeni Military Media released footage of strikes against concentrations of Saudi-backed forces and their military vehicles east of al-Jawf, alongside the advance of Yemeni Armed Forces' vanguards through the governorate, across its mountainous and desert terrain.
The footage shows the vanguards outflanking Saudi-backed forces in al-Jawf and direct engagement from point-blank range, before the Saudi forces retreated under sustained fire.
Saudi warplanes were seen intervening for aerial support, but "mistakenly bombed its own forces" on the ground, the Yemeni statement said.
The footage also showed the Yemeni Armed Forces capturing Saudi-backed personnel, as well as the destruction of dozens of enemy military vehicles. Armored vehicles and equipment were also seized during the battle in al-Jawf.
In numbers: Al-Jawf gains
Meanwhile, a military source told Al-Masirah that the losses among Saudi-backed forces on the Al-Jawf front over the past four days have reached approximately 275 killed, wounded, or captured.
The source said 85 military and armored vehicles belonging to the Saudi-backed forces were destroyed or disabled during the clashes.
It added that seven enemy drones of various types were shot down during the confrontations.
